Things To Do:

There is a lot to do around the farm, a walk through our fields’ leads to our riverbank and spectacular waterfalls (private fishing available upon request). Part of the farm is designated as a Cumbria Wildlife Trust site. We manage the site sympathetically in partnership with the trust, to provide an important habitat for wildlife, including watervoles and red squirrels.Whatever the season you will find interesting activities being carried out on our working farm, you could even try your hand at drystone walling. A pretty walk of less than a mile leads you through the fields to Alston. Upon reaching Alston you can follow the circular route along the river back to the farm, a route totalling 3 miles.

This is a fantastic region for walkers, for the brave hearted there is a vast network of footpaths including the Pennine Way and magnificent treks to the top of Crossfell and High Cup Nick. For those who prefer a gentler stroll there are equally breathtaking views that can be enjoyed on one of the many shorter trails throughout the local area. There are also bridleways and cycle tracks including the famous C2C cycle way just a mile from the farm gate.
